Some rules technically would not be applicable to every type of Booru, e.g. Shimmie2 doesn't support avatars and only Philomena supports filters (basically superior version of blacklists), AFAIK.
Philomena tags would be separated with commas and support more symbols, multiple word tags would use spaces instead of underscores.
*Website name* is presented to you AS IS, without any warranty, express or implied. You will not hold *website name* or its staff members liable for damages caused by the use of the site.
If you are under the age of 18*, you will not use the Site.* If sexual content was banned this threshold could bet set as low as 13.
Do not make posts or upload images that violate the laws of...... what country's laws?
Guidelines may be changed at any point in time.
Respect each other.
Your username and avatar* must be SFW. Animated GIF avatars must NOT be flickering in a way that could cause seizures. * Avatars would be specified only if the Booru supported avatars.
You may see images that you would find objectionable, but which are not against the rules. You can edit your blacklist* to hide things you don't want to see. Do not comment just to complain about blacklistable content and do not massively downvote** it.* If it was a Philomena Booru, filters would be used instead, also registered users of a Philomena Booru can hide separate pictures. I wonder if other Booru engines could support pre-made blacklists so that certain things would be hidden from the start? **I'd prefer if downvotes were disabled due to potential abuse concerns.
Galleries* are public, do not make them to break rules.* Galleries are a Philomena feature, although other Booru engines may have something similar.
Please avoid making posts and comments that are spammy and meaningless, like copypasta, messages that only consist of emojis or gibberish, or the same message copy-pasted to multiple pages.
Do not antagonise other users.
Do not promote illegal activities, violence, war, suicide, self-harm, discrimination, addictive substances, scams (including NFTs and monetisation of AI content).
Do not make death threats or joke about your own suicide.
Use mental health terms responsibly.
Do not dox others.
Do not link to pirated content, even if it's a game considered abandonware.
Links to supplementary files, like mods, patches and noCD cracks, and ripped assets are okay. Most of these imply that you already have the game, it doesn't matter how you got it.
Do not make posts or upload images with links to real life/photorealistic content that is pornographic or shocking, links to sites which sell weapons or addictive substances, scam links, onion (Darknet) links.
Do not upload or link to loli/shota (sexual content with characters who have childlike bodies), lore and art style do not matter.
This rule is not applicable to worms by default, only if their bodies are humanoid.
This is a Booru for the Worms video games. Crossovers and memes are allowed as long as they're Worms related. If the image isn't reminiscent of Worms enough the author's description may be looked into, and if it doesn't mention the series it may be removed.
Any image with a sigworm (character made by a member of the Dream17 forum) is Worms related. This section may be of interest.
Do not post unrelated worm content, such as content related to Slither.io and its clones, photos of real-life worms, stock art and parasite porn. Stock art varies a lot, but exceptions are unlikely.
No content related to clone/ripoff games with non-worm characters, such as Hedgewars and Bombix. You may post content related to games like that if they're about worms.
Content related to fangames is allowed as long as they're about worms.
You may post a REASONABLE amount of plagiarised NFT images, please do not flood the site with literally all of them as there are too many possible combinations of details.
No raw images of random animals and weapons.
Images that seem to be low-effort and aiming to cause negative reaction will most likely be removed.
Do not upload low quality photos of traditional art where it's too hard to make out the picture.
Do not upload rotated images. Any image editing software should have the Rotate option, just look for it.
Tag content properly.
If you're unsure which rating to use, it's better to set it too high than too low.
Prioritise tagging artists (if it's fanart), things which are easy to label and things which may be undesirable to some users (like blood, farts and "extra" body parts).
Do not add tags which are useless, meaningless, overly subjective and derogatory. Examples: worm, my_art, funny, cute, sexy, what, ugly, cursed_image, jesus_fucking_christ, 1000_hours_in_ms_paint, bad_art, woke, *any slur*.
Please avoid mixing any fetish-related tags with the Safe rating. Fetish art targets mature audience, so if it looks fetishy it's probably not Safe.
If the animated GIF/video contains flashing lights, you must tag it with "seizure_warning".
If the video contains loud noises which could startle people and you could call "earrape", you must tag it with "volume_warning".
Provide sources and credit artists.
For official content: use the tag "official" and do not write "team17" in the source field, do not use the tag "artist_needed" (but if you know one, you can add them).
Do not claim credit for other people's art.
Steam has a huge art theft problem, artist credits and sources related to it should be taken with a grain of salt. If a user posts a lot of artwork in a consistent style and they have social media links where they post the same art, they're probably legitimate.
When providing sources, do not link to Google Images or the like, do not use direct image links, and avoid user profile links (e.g. if you linked to a DeviantArt's user profile, the viewer would have to look for the image in that user's gallery on their own; the proper scenario here is linking to the image's own submission page). Images breaking this rule are subject to being tagged "useless_source_url" and "source_needed", or having the sources changed to proper ones.
Since Worms is popular in Russia: be aware that Russians may not be able to view sources on some websites (X, Instagram, Facebook, etc.) without a VPN, and non-Russians most likely will not be able to view VKontakte sources.
What if I post someone else's art, but I don't know their username? What if I don't remember where I got it from or can't access the website it's from?
Use tags "artist_needed" and "source_needed" correspondingly.
What if I post my own stuff to this Booru alone?
Leave the source field blank, obviously, and use tag "*Booru name*_exclusive" (it doesn't matter if someone else reposts it to another site).
What if I post art made by someone who wants to remain anonymous?
Leave the source field blank, obviously, and use the tag "anonymous_artist".
What if the artist uploaded their piece to multiple sites?
You may add multiple sources. Assuming it's technically possible. I could do it on booru.plus, Philomena Boorus also allow it.
What if there's a source link, but the image is removed from its source, making the said link useless?
Keep the link, add tag "dead_source".
Should artist tags be used when an official worm model is posed in Gmod/SFM/MMD?
This kind of content is not considered art here, so no. But you should still provide source.
Can I share music? If yes, do I need to credit the composer?
Art isn't exclusively visual, so yes, use artist tags.
If the artist asks not to repost their art, then do not do it.
Also do not repost fanart without permission from private or semi-private sources (like Discord and Telegram, and anything you got directly from the artist via DMs).
Text-focused images, such as screenshots of chats, forums, comments, reviews, etc., must be tagged "text_focus" and "no_worms" (assuming it's applicable).
These assume that the Booru would allow AI imagery, but I wouldn't care much if that wasn't be the case:
Use prompter tags for AI imagery, not artist tags.
Do not post a lot of similar AI images.
Do not post extremely low quality and non-worm AI generated content (even if it was done with any Worms LoRA).
Nothing from stlmax.com and stl.team.
No images made with DALL-E Mini / Crayion or anything of similarly bad quality.
Do not post images which are so noisy it's hard to tell whats's going on.
No worms with extremely deformed faces or no heads.
No images where AI generated a human, any other irrelevant species or nobody. There's a grey area where AI may generate worms with human ears and subtle noses.
